While antiquing in Istanbul, I came upon this beautiful dendritic agate pendant. What are dendrites? It’s a good question …manganese & iron oxide minerals that form within the agate during its formation creating these beautiful tree-like patterns. Isn’t the earth amazing!! I love stones like these …that tell you a long history just by peering in. This one is quite beautiful!!
