Happy Friday from Venice!! Of course, I HAD to do a Friday Feature from Venice that was Venetian!!! I've had these beautiful Chrysocolla tumbled stones for a while now ...but I have kept them in the drawer until I found something worthy of them. And along came these beautiful Venetian Glass turquoise & gold hand-blown hearts. All Venetian Glass is special ...but I just loved how these worked so well in with the Chrysocolla ...both the same color-way and hues ...but a contrast of textures.

The heart itself, set in 14k gold filled has a clasp ...so you can keep it attached to the bracelet ...or even slide or clip it on a chain, even add it to other bracelets. Chrysocolla is a very earthy stone ...similar to Turquoise, but a little bit deeper blue-green hue ..with flecks of copper (which also happens to be very good for us). Venetian Glass tends to be a little bit more ethereal and lofty ...so the contrast between the two materials is a very nice mix. The heart itself also has flecks of gold, copper, white and shades of Turquoise ...so its a perfect complement, as well as a fab year-round charm that can be used in a myriad of ways. Happy Friday!! Whenever I do a Limited Edition Nini Necklace, it is always always a popular Friday Feature. I imagine this one will be also. The "Nini's" are easily my most popular style. Universally well-liked, easy to wear, easy to layer, lightweight & comfortable, this style seems to seamlessly mix in with whatever is really "hot & trendy" in jewelry at the moment, but also outlast the trend ...as these have great longevity when taken care of!!

This beautiful Smoky Topaz (actually Smoky Quartz, but often called a Topaz) star in the center makes for a wonderful neutral going into fall ...along with the bronzy brown pearls hand-knotted all around. Happy Friday!! Recently I had a dear dear friend ask for a Nini with Black Onyx. Well ...I didn't have any black on hand. But when a dear friend asks for Black Onyx (especially the friend whose daughter the Nini is actually named for), you FIND yourself some Black Onyx!! In that quest, I came upon these beautiful Black Onyx stars ...and I immediately knew they had to be a Friday Feature!

I actually love Black Onyx for summer ...especially in a combination with white pearls ...as we often are in a summer sundresses, or jumpsuits ...with prints and multiple colors, and the black tends to pair with anything!! Its so pretty year round of course, but its a no brainer when we have so many prints we tend to be wearing this time of year. And the star ...well of course ...how could I resist that shape!!
