Happy Friday !! Labradorite is always a fan favorite with my people. Much of that is because I choose very good Labradorite. Referred to as "The Schiller Effect,'" that shimmer is an optical phenomenon found in feldspar minerals that causes the light to dance and move inside the stone. The higher quality the stone, the higher the effect. This is why I only want great quality Labradorite stones ...why use Labradorite if you don't get that beautiful movement inside the stone??

Labradorite also happens to be a stone that carves very well ...as it is soft enough to cut into, but hard enough to create beautiful edges and designs. I have a current little love affair with faces, and I had envisioned a beautiful Labradorite "Man in the Moon" in sterling silver, so I LOVE how these turned out!!
