Featherweight Orange & Green Fall Silk Scarf

Featherweight Orange & Green Fall Silk Scarf
Happy Scarf Friday!! You guys know by now I'm a huge scarf person. Not everyone is ...that's ok, you don't have to be part of the cool kids club!! 🤣 (even though we are pretty cool). Scarves to me, however, are much more than just a utilitarian temperature controlling accoutrement ...although that IS a huge help. I use mine everywhere!! Yes, as a beautiful accessory, but also, I love that textiles & fabrics can be used as accent pieces throughout the home.
I have been known to take a lightweight scarf and tie it around a vase full of flowers, or lay across an antique surface I didn't want to scratch. I actually used my favorite deep-red hand-woven Ikat scarf from Laos on my small dining room table in New York to decorate for Christmas. And I frequently tie a bow onto a plain bag or tote to add a little femininity. Scarves can be way more versatile than we think of conventionally. I love that!!
This beauty is a gorgeous pattern of warm tones for fall ...and yet, the greens ...which also can lean to the cool allow for nice silver accessories and cooler-toned pairings. This makes for a truly fabulous fall transition piece and a go-to in the latter half of the year.
*I left for India Monday, August 4th, and these will be ready to go when I get back. Please be patient while I'm away working on new textiles, home decor, and jewelry. I will ship these as soon as I return!!
100% hand-done featherweight silk with a screen-printed orange, taupe, and green floral design, measuring 20" x 70" ...perfect for carrying along in the day or tying on a bag for when you need a scarf in a pinch.
Recent Friday Feature
Happy Friday!! These little fun earrings I grabbed in Istanbul, but they are actually made in Bali!! Home of the famous John Hardy silver renaissance, Bali is as artistic as it is dreamy! Known for their silversmiths, Balinese artisans produce some of the most spectacular silver art in the entire world.
These fantastic little crosses are just a taste of their incredible talents. Simple, coconut shell crosses, with beautiful sterling silver inlay detailing, a taste of the amazing techniques Bali has been showcasing for decades. Balinese people have been working in silver for millennia ...with a revival in the 20th century from the rise in tourism.
I particularly love these crosses for their classic design, but also that they truly can be paired with anything. These can be dressed up with elevated companion pieces …especially Turquoise, or paired down with athleisure and a great fall sweater for a fun casual look for fall. Classic, never out of style, these will make great gifts, and a great piece to enjoy year after year!

Happy Friday!! Can I even with these! I'm pretty obsessed with the bugs. Now ....I won't lie, I don't love the bug bugs ...but when bugs come to me by way of gold detailing ...yep ...I will take the bugs all the live long day!! I've had these in a high rotation, and I LOVE them. Throw these at anything ...multiple layers, one long statement layer, fun bracelets, or just understated simplicity with these and a fun summer dress. Beautifully crafted by one of my favorite Turkish artists ...these are classic, timeless and ones you will love forever!!
*These are 100% ready made and ready to ship out! when I return from Italy the week after next.... so there will be a slight delay. Please keep that in mind when ordering!

There is nothing like a classic piece of North American Turquoise. It is a piece of the American Southwest, a piece of Native American heritage, and a part of deep North American culture. Sonoran Gold itself is from a mine in Mexico …deeply prized for its color and matrix, and one of the best Turquoise specimens available. I tend to choose higher quality Turquoise …the highest quality I can find. My feeling on quality …if you are going to collect, make it worthy of passing down so the next generations can love it as much as you do!!

I am now a huge fan, and will continue to collect it. Enjoy these!
