Hello Friends. Happy Friday ...and Happy Rainbow Moonstone!! One of my favorite stones, Moonstone has a gorgeous fire and chatoyance that makes it glow from within. When the light hits it just so, the flash is similar to a Labradorite (also from the Feldspar family)...which is what Rainbow Moonstone actually is. Moonstone has long been sought after for jewelry & embellishment throughout the millennia ...in many cultures. Known as a gemstone for travelers and protection, it is also connected to love (perfect as a Valentine happy). I myself love it in the winter for its beautiful coolness and blue flash!! Historically, Moonstone has been carried during dark times as it tends to light from within. I find it curious that the earth's crust is 60% Feldspar (including all the gems in the Feldspar family) ...that protective energy being all around us. When God created this earth ..however short or long that endeavor took, He certainly included some gorgeous beauty in the process ...Rainbow Moonstone being one of the most special. Enjoy!
